Kris and Tiffany Higgins of Kennett, announce the birth of their son, Layne Kristopher Higgins, born Aug. 5, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

He weighed 6 pounds and 13 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.

He is the grandson of Carl and Wanda Goodrich and Johnny and Linda Higgins.

He is welcomed home by a big brother, Hayden Levi Higgins.
