Pat Burlison, 100, of Huntsville, Ala., formerly of Hornersville, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 19, at Parkview Healthcare in Huntsville.
Born March 17, 1905, at Hornersville, son of the late Edward and Bertha Statler Burlison, he was a farmer, coach and businessman. Burlison was a member of the Hornersville Masonic Lodge 215 AF&AM, Hornersville Order of the Eastern Star 523, Farmers and Merchants Club, Hornersville Alumni Assn., SEMO Booster Club, Copperdome Society-SEMO Unit, and founder of Little League program at Hornersville. He served as president of Southern Ginners Assn. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Hornersville and served as a member and chairman of its board.
On Sept. 17, 1933, at Gideon, Mo., he married Eula Mae Ferguson who preceded him in death June 7, 1990.
Survivors include one son, Pat Ed Burlison and wife, Robbie, of Huntsville, Ala.; one sister, Edna Weaver, of Memphis, Tenn.; one granddaughter, Lauren Burlison, of Huntsville and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the Methodist Church in Hornersville with the Rev. Jim Pemberton officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Methodist Church at Hornersville.
Bradshaw-Emerson Funeral Home of Hornersville was in charge of arrangements.
