James Norman Hamm, 82, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.
Born March 14, 1923, in Milan, Tenn., son of the late Walter and Vera Edna Jenkins Hamm, he attended school in Tennessee and was in the trucking business.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Hamm, of Blytheville, Ark.; three daughters, Dorothy Mae Bates, of Wauchula, Fla., Rose Mary Darby, of Mt. Morris, Mich., and Barbara Jean Hamm, of Florida; two sisters, Louise Mulroney, of Philadelphia, Pa., and Judith Green, of Ferriday, La. and one half-sister, Pam Grubbs, of Caruthersville, Mo.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Hamm.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville with the Rev. Jim Pilcher officiating.
Pallbearers were family members.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
