Calvin "Jamup" Priddy, 68, of Gosnell, Ark., died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Feb. 13, 1937 in Keiser, Ark., son of the late Ed and Vera Gossage Priddy, he was employed at Special Metals in New Madrid, Mo. and the University of Arkansas maintenance department. He was a member of the Faith Pentecostal Church of God.
He married Goldie Riley, who survives.
Survivors also include one daughter, Julie Glass, of West Fork, Ark.; one brother, Hiram Priddy, of Yarbro, Ark.; four sisters, Ruby Gray, of Mascotte, Fla., Martha Jean Gray, of Brooksville, Fla., Margaret Higgins, of Ocoee, Fla., and Susie Verra, of Dunnellon, Fla.; one grandson, Jeremy Ray Selvey, of Fayetteville, Ark., and four granddaughters, Rhonda Faught and Crystal Taylor, both of West Fork, Christy Priddy, of Huntsville, Ark., and Stacy Hinklin, of Blytheville, Ark.
He was preceded in death by one son, Calvin Eugene Priddy; four brothers, Billy, Willard, LeRoy and Willie Ray Priddy and one great-grandson, Aaron Eugene Selvey.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 16, at the Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Priscilla and Jeff Riley officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
