Johnie H. Cardwell

Johnie Harold Cardwell, 71, of Senath, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center at Kennett.

Born Jan. 20, 1934, at Leachville, Ark., a son of the late Olen and Oma Wheeler Cardwell, he retired from Union Electric and was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church of Arbyrd.

On July 26, 1953, at Arbyrd, Mo. he married Faye Scott who survives.

Other survivors include one son, Steve Cardwell of Senath, one brother, Everett Cardwell of St. Louis; four sisters, Betty Windes of House Springs, Mo., Sue Quinton of Pine Bluff, Ark., Lill Redden of Paragould, Ark., and Barbara Mullins of Grapevine, Ark.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Wesley Harold Cardwell and two sisters, Nadine Cardwell and Geraldine Carothers.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at First Baptist Church of Arbyrd with the Rev. Alan Cureton officiating.

Burial was in the Lulu Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tim Dinkins, Neal Smith, Derek HIggins, Ken Sikes, Donnie West, Mike Huggins, Hugh Wayne Walpole and Ronnie Branum.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Senath was in charge of arrangements.
