Haze Montgomery

Haze Montgomery, 81, of Senath, Mo., died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at his residence.

Born Jan. 13, 1924, in Senath, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII. He was a member of the Senath Fire Department, Lions Club, American Legion, IBEW Union Member, an EMT, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and a member of the Church of Christ in Senath.

On Jan. 11, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., he married Doris Wilson, who preceded him in death on March 16, 1999.

Survivors include two sons, Jamie Montgomery and wife, Donna, and Kent Montgomery and wife, Maggie, all of Senath; one brother, Leon Montgomery, of Virginia; one sister, Naomi Fenske, of Pierce City, Mo. and two grandchildren, Holly Dawn and William Scott Montgomery.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Senath Church of Christ with Greg Pollock officiating.

Burial was in McGrew Cemetery at Senath.

Pallbearers were Gary Renfrow, George Jordan, Lee Meridith, Charles Parker, Byron Small, Harold Lee Watson, John David Raines and Ken Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Senath and surrounding community firemen, members of the Senath American Legion and members of the Senath Lions Club.

McDaniel Funeral Home of Senath was in charge of arrangements.
