Cassie Mae Johnson, 60, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born Dec. 25, 1944, in Caruthersville, daughter of the late Russell W. and Cassie B. Walton Dudley, she attended Braggadocio Schools, The School of The Ozarks, Arkansas State University and the University of Illinois. She taught school in Illinois and the North Pemiscot School District and was a member of the Braggadocio Baptist Church.

On Sept. 3, 1977, in Braggadocio, she married Damon Lloyd Johnson, Jr., who survives.

Survivors also include one sister, Nona McDaniel, of Collinsville, Ill.; two brothers, Noel Dudley, of Braggadocio and Russell Dudley, of Trenton, Tenn., and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Dudley.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Braggadocio Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenny Durham officiating.

Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were John McDaniel, Noel L., Jeff, Christopher W., and James Dudley and Rory Biggs.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
