Finona

Jose Q. Finona, 67, of Kennett, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center at Kennett.

Born July 5, 1938, at Hagatna, Guam, he was the son of the late Vincente T. and Maria Q. Quitugua Finona. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

On Jan. 21, 1983, he married Lourdes Alicto, who survives.

Other survivors include four sons, Vincent J. Finona and Jesse M. Cruz, both of Kennett, Michael A. Cruz of Tacoma, Wash. and Joseph E. Cruz of Guam; two daughters, Lourdes M. Finona and husband, Albert Yamosta Jr. and France C. and husband, Thomas (Finona) Graham, all of Kennett; seven brothers, Francisco and wife, Maria, Vincente and wife, Terry, John and wife, Regina, Jesus and wife, Mary, Roy and wife, Anna, George and wife, Patty and Patrick and wife, Arlene; and one sister, Teresita and husband, Vincent; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Joseph and two brothers, Joaquin and Antonio.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Kennett with Father Allen Saunders officiating.
