Bettie Stobaugh

Bettie Jewel Stobaugh, 90, of Risco, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon, Mo.

Born Aug. 20, 1915, in Formosa, Ark., daughter of the late Amos and Mary Esther Brewer Oliger, she was of the Baptist faith.

On Sept. 1, 1934, in Formosa, she married Cyrus Lindell Stobaugh, who preceded her in death on March 30, 1987. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Patsy Ann Landers and one grandson, Lenny Chambers.

Survivors include three daughters, Emma Sue Chambers and husband, Lendon, of Linden, Mich., Alice Fortner and husband, Royce, of Risco, Mo., and Shirley Kennedy and husband, Robert, of Holiday, Fla.; three sons, Bob Stobaugh and wife, Gayle, and Jerry Stobaugh and wife, Jennilee, all of Batesville, Ark., and Danny Stobaugh and wife, Kathy, of Clearwater, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 2, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
