Pauline I. "Polly" Curtis, 85, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Hayti, Mo. and Wardell, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.
Born Jan. 1, 1920, in Brooklyn, Ark., daughter of the late James and Maud Hicks, she was a nurse at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti and worked at Shirey's Clinic in Hayti.
On Jan. 16, 1939, in Bragg City, Mo., she married C.F. "Crook" Curtis, who preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1989.
Survivors include three children, JoAnn McGrath, Dan Curtis and wife, Ruth and Duane Curtis and wife, Pat; one sister, Grace and six grandchildren, Scarlett, Susan and Scott McGrath and Alyson, Katy and Betsy Curtis.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Hayti.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Griff Walker officiating.
Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
