Noel Don Medlin, 65, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born May 13, 1940, in Pemiscot County, Mo., son of the late Lee Roy and Willa Bea Medlin, he was in the agri-business as well as a Case IH Farm Equipment dealer. He was involved with the Church of God in Caruthersville, and a member of the board of directors of Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Hollowell Medlin, of Caruthersville; three sons, Don Allyson Medlin and wife, Renea Atkinson, of Memphis, Tenn., Byron Medlin and wife, Alisa Hammond, of Caruthersville and Clark Medlin and wife, Sarah Griffey, of Dyersburg, Tenn.; one daughter, Cherie M. Kirby and husband, Clint, of Caruthersville; three brothers, Carl Medlin and wife, Judy, of Denver, Colo., Floyd Medlin and wife, Katie, of Dahlonega, Ga., and Roger Medlin and wife, Kay, of Caruthersville; four sisters, Helen M. Hensley, of Caruthersville, Jane Medlin and Betty M. Johnson and husband, Bob, of Cleveland, Tenn., and Ann M. Spell and husband, L.W., of Hazelhurst, Ga., and seven grandchildren, Taylor and Victoria, of Memphis, and Stanley, Jackson, Luke, Nicholas and Elizabeth, all of Caruthersville.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Medlin and one sister, Florence Hensley.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Jesus Name Tabernacle in Caruthersville with Dr. Charles Paul Conn, Dr. Walter P. Atkinson, Dr. Hugo Hammond, and the Rev. Carl Richardson officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were nephews, Jeffrey Hensley, Dennis, Rebel and Byron Johnson, Mark Medlin and Paul Spell.
Grissom Funeral Home of Cleveland and H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
