J.C. Joyner, 80, of Senath, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at the Senath Nursing Center.
Born April 6, 1925, in Greenway, Ark., son of the late Cullen and Susan Yancey Joyner, he was a minister.
On Sept. 11, 1942, he married Mattie Lee Barnes, who preceded him in death on Aug. 17, 2002. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Lester Newsom.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Joyner and wife, Brenda, of Chesterfield, Mo., Daniel Joyner, of Ballwin, Mo., and Stacy Joyner and wife, Irma, of Clarkton, Mo.; two daughters, Brenda Joyner Frounfelker, of Jonesboro, Ark., and Ladonna Joyner Garner and husband, Barry, of Kennett; one sister, Lila Waltrip, of Punkin Center, Mo.; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 25 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gale Lambert and Larry Rouse officiating.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
