Born June 4, 1941, in Kennett, son of the late Clovis and Eula Crafford Hazel, he was a brickmason.
On Feb. 18, 1963, he married Mary Sue Bradley, who survives.
Survivors also include one daughter, Deanna Hazel Sells and husband, Bruce, of Jackson, Mo.; one sister, Carolyn June McElyea, of Blytheville, Ark. and three grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jonathan Blais and Austin Sells.
He was preceded in death by one son, Shelby Joe Hazel; one daughter, Mary Hazel Blais; two brothers, Buck and Jimmy Charles Hazel and three sisters, Joyce Smith, Wanda Hitt and Patsy Gooch.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 23, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Gelsinger officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
Pallbearers will be Bruce and Larry Sells, Delbert Townsend, Glen McElyea Jr., and Buddy Hastings.
