Michael Murrell Burnett, 53, of Lackland, Fla., formerly of Kennett and Bonne Terre, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at Lackland.
Born July 7, 1952, in Michigan, he was the son of the late Murrell Burnett and Ruth Young and was raised by Floyd Wilson, and the late Amy Wilson. He was of the Baptist faith and he loved to draw and play any instrument.
Survivors include parent, Floyd Wilson, of Cooter, Mo.; two sisters, Louise Burnett, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Debbie Wilson Morgan, of Cooter; one uncle, Garland Butler, of Portageville, Mo. and seven cousins, Joe Butler, of Larkspur, Colo., Lynn Butler, of Memphis, Tenn., Jody Kelley and Judy Swilley, both of Portageville and Aimee Hatch, Paige Morgan and Preston Hatch, all of Cooter.
He was preceded in death by an aunt, Bertie Butler and his grandparents, Emma Young and Arthur Young.
Memorial services were held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett with Lynn Butler officiating.
