William Carter

William "Bill" Alamath Carter, 93, of Cocoa Beach, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005.

Born in Maury City, Tenn., he was a graduate of the University of Missouri, a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during WWII in the CBI Theater. He taught school in Steele, Mo., where he was later principal, he was elected district superintendent of Pemiscot County, Mo. Schools and had his own environmental business.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen N. Carter; his daughters, Camille M. Bell and husband, James B., and Hazel K. Schatzl Joubran and husband, Salim A., and his granddaughters, Samantha N. Bell and Julia Nicole Joubran.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Our Saviour's Catholic Church in Cocoa Beach.

Wylle-Baxley Funeral Home of Merritt Island, Fla. is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Our Saviour's Catholic School in Cocoa Beach.
