James R. "Jim" Davis, 76, of Holcomb, Mo. died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at his residence.
Born June 21, 1929, at Lake City, Ark., a son of Auther and Julia Christine Stoker Davis, he was a farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
On May 1, 1951, at Piggott, Ark. he married Betty Todd who survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Jamie Clenney of Holcomb and Diane Aikey of Sikeston, Mo.; one brother, Charles Davis of Hornersville, Mo.; three sisters, Ruby Ritchie of Texas, Maude Boyd and Rita Ann Sloan, both of Jonesboro, Ark.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2 p.m.. today, Sunday, Nov. 13, at McDaniel Funeral Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Gene Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
