Martha Louise Cook, 81, of St. Charles, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at Mt. Carmel Nursing Center in St. Charles.

Born Dec. 6, 1923, in Portageville, Mo., daughter of the late William and Minnie Gilbow Warth, she attended the Westside General Baptist Church in St. Ann.

On Dec. 23, 1945, in Piggott, Ark., she married Hershel Leon Cook, who preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2002. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Klutts, Nevel Ornder and Donna Adams.

Survivors include one son, Harold Cook and wife, Susan, of Flower Mound, Texas; one daughter, Karen McCartney and husband, Gary, of St. Peters, Mo.; two sisters, Margaret Williams, of Boonville, Ind., and Bernice Welch, of Redding, Calif.; one brother, William Warth, of Risco, Mo.; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Hamlett officiating.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
