Doris Christine Keen, 76, of Harrison, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 7, 2005, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the First Presbyterian Church in Harrison with Ralph Kelly officiating. Graveside services and burial will be in the City Cemetery at Poplar Bluff, Mo., at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Holt Memorial Chapel in Harrison.

The daughter of Marvin and Pearl King, Doris was born on Oct. 25, 1929, in Senath, Mo. She was married to J.B. Keen for 40 years, during which time she lived in Poplar Bluff. She moved to Harrison in 1995 to be near her family and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Doris worked for 2o years with the Missouri Division of Employment Security and in partnership with her late husband, owned and managed J.B. Keen Construction Company. She excelled at home design and interior decorating and over 100 fine homes and commercial buildings in the Poplar Bluff area bear her imprint.

Her husband, parents and one brother, Elwood King, preceded her in death.

Surviving are her only daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Gordon Watkins of Parthenon, Ark., and grandsons, Wesley and Ben Watkins of Little Rock, Ark., of whom she was immeasurably proud. Doris will be missed, especially by her sister-in-law, Twila Douglas and niece, Janet Kendrick, with whom she had a special bond, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends who welcomed her so warmly to the Harrison community.

Doris enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Club and her Sunday School Class of the First Presbyterian Church.
