Mildred Wilson

Mildred S. Maxwell Wilson, 81, of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.

Born Dec. 14, 1923, in Blytheville, Ark., daughter of the late Amos and Annie Hawkins Maxwell, she was a cook.

She married Wallace Wilson, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Erle Wilson; one brother, John Amos Maxwell; four sisters, Gracie Jones, Earline Williams, Clara Maxwell and Annie Harper and a son-in-law, Willie Booker.

Survivors include one son, John Lawrence and wife, Jessie, of Hayti; one daughter, Gwendolyn Kay Booker, of Hayti; one sister, Clotie Williams, of Chicago, Ill.; six grandchildren, Monachia Danielle "Button" Rose, Charles Lawrence Wilson, Michelle Dancler, Crystal Reeves, Jackie Harper and Charles A. Taylor, II and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with the Rev. Larry Guyton officiating.

Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were Freddie Harper, Lloyd Maxwell, Willie Miller, Michael Reeves, Bryant Rose, Charles Lawrence Wilson and Richard and Kenneth Williams.
