Lillie Mae Smith, 80, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.

Born June 29, 1925, in Henderson, Tenn., daughter of the late Lewis and Ethel Floyd Clark, she attended schools in Henderson.

On Aug. 10, 1938, in New Madrid, Mo., she married Jimmy W. Smith, who preceded her in death on March 31, 1995. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Hilburn; three sisters and one great-great-grandson, Buddy.

Survivors include one son, Danny Smith and wife, Kelly, of Caruthersville; one sister, Sue Brummet, of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Marty Rainey, of Sullivan, Mo., and Cheryl Pearl and Valerie and Justin Smith, all of Caruthersville; four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
