Born August 29, 1951 in Malden, Mo., son of Mardia Ree Caldwell Jones of Clarkton and the late Willie Jones Jr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, fought in Vietnam and was employed by Briggs and Stratton in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Survivors include: four sons, Billy Joe Jones, Jr., of Kennett, Mo., Anthony Watkins of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Thomas Thornton of Malden, Mo., and Brandon Barnett of Clarkton, Mo.; two daughters, Stacey Nicole Jones of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Shemeka Barnett, of Clarkton, Mo.; two sisters, Vernice Scott of Clarkton, Mo., and Norma Jones of Malden, Mo.; three half-sisters, Katherine Fobbs of Jackson, Mo., and Vivian and Kay; three half-brothers, Bruce Jones, and Barry and Brian Jones, all of Toledo, OH.; 17 grandchildren and special friend, Ella Butler of Kennett, Mo.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 from noon until time of service at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden with Minister Cora Jones officiating.
Burial will be held at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo., with Military Rites.
