Levon J. "Bud" Scott, 78, of Braggadocio, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005 at Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Born August 29, 1927 in Chickalah, Yell County, Arkansas, a son of the late Ode and Ruby Dacus Scott. He was a 194 graduate of Braggadocio High School, a farmer, who was well known for his hay and straw, and a Pemiscot County Deputy tax assessor for many years. He was also a member of the Missouri Cotton Producers Association and a Pemiscot County ASCS community committeeman for a number of years.

On April 10, 1954 in Steele, Mo., he married Freda Dunn who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Jimmy Graham and wife, Rhonda, of Caruthersville, Mo., Rickie Scott and wife, Pat, and Randall Scott, all of Braggadocio; one daughter, Debra Tucker and husband Neil, of Rector, Ark.; six grandchildren, Tracey Martin of Caruthersville, Heather and Angelia Tucker of Rector, Erick Scott of Braggadocio, and Hunter and Brandy Scott of Crystal Springs, Ark.; two great grandchildren, Graham and tgracie Martin of Caruthersville; two step granddaughters,Tabitha Turner of Dyersburg, Tenn., and angela Brye of St. Louis, Mo.; four step great grandchildren, Lauren and Shelby Turner of Dyersburg, and Zachary and Nicolas Brye of St. Louis; two brothers, Leon "Scottie" Scott and wife, Florence of Jupiter, Florida, and Joe Lon "Moe" Scott and wife, Sandy, of Russellville, Ark.; six sisters, Faye Alexander of Braggadocio, Zola Scott of Blytheville, Ark., June Robichaud and husband, Paul, of Columbia, S.C., Dixie Scott of Braggadocio, Gaye Suddarth of Hayti, Mo., and Julia Robinson and husband, Lary, of Glen Avon, Calif.; three sisters-in-law, Daphne Ginn of Heber Springs, Ark., Mary Lola Dowdy of Cherokee, Okla., and Goldie Fowler, and husband, Paul, of Holland, Mo.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Friday, Oct. 28, 2005 in the Crossroads Worship Center at Braggadocio, with Bro. Glyn Davis officiating.

Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were: Gary Bruton, Tommy Lynn Crowe, Noel Dudley, James Maclin, Paul Maclin, and Max "Bubba" Wallace.

Honorary pallbearers were: James Bruton, Max Bryant, Charles A. Davis and Charles Albert Faris.

John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, Mo., was incharge of arrangements.
