Annie Laura "L.A." Edwards, 71, of Hayti, Mo., died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Feb. 26, 1934, in Osceola, Ark., daughter of Sol Abraham and the late Birdell Crum Abraham, she was a licensed missionary and served as mother of the Set Free Ministry Outreach COGIC International.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie Edwards, of Hayti; six sons, Robert Abraham and wife, Claudia, and Solomon Abraham, all of Seattle, Wash., William Abraham and wife, Janet, of Rolla, Mo., Ronnie Abraham and wife, Ella, of Cape Girardeau, Mark Abraham, of Hayti and Lee Abraham and wife, Barbara, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; three daughters, Corine Abraham, Robin Abraham and Brenda Taylor, all of Hayti; her father, Sol Abraham Sr., of Hayti; one half-brother, Jerome Maxie, of the U.S. Military; one step-brother, Clyde Morgan, of Chicago, Ill.; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Hayti with Elder Nathaniel Ellis officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Marvin and Dennis Craion, Benny Douglas, John Edward Fane, Solomon Dewayne Abraham and Soloman Abraham Jr.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti is in charge of arrangements.
