Haywood
Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett recently announced its Employees of the Quarter for the quarter ending September 30. The award is presented to an employee, nurse and manager. Nominations for the award are received from peers and chosen by the administrative team.

Recipients of the award receive an engraved plaque and a check for $250.

Mary Ann Haywood was named the Employee of the Quarter. She has worked at the hospital for almost 40 years. Haywood is always pleasant to others, and maintains a healthy lifestyle, both inside and out. This philosophy is apparent in her job; her work ethic and knowledge are assets to her department. In addition to work, many years ago she set a personal goal for herself that she still maintains. Haywood does at least one nice thing for someone that is not expecting anything from her, and she achieves her goal daily. Many of the people that know her appreciate being recipients of her good deeds.

Cannon
The Nurse of the Quarter, Kim Cannon, has worked for the hospital since 2001. Cannon has been a nurse in medical-surgical, intensive care and now works in oncology. This nurse does more for her patients than just administering treatment. Her patients know her as a friend, teacher and dietician. Patients appreciate her compassion, care and empathy. They know she will hold their hand and comfort them through their difficult times. In addition, her co-workers know that she is always willing to help out wherever she is needed, bringing with her a lively personality and a positive attitude.

Debra Anthony was recognized as Department Manager of the Quarter.

She has been with Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center since 2004. Anthony is very professional as well as being kind, compassionate and caring to patients and staff. She runs both of her departments efficiently with strong management and organization skills. Employees in women's services and pediatrics departments know her as a "hands on" manager that is always willing to jump in and help out. Her genuine interest in her employees, make them feel more like family than an employee.
