The Principles of Risk Management course Brown attended was one of the five parts offered by Certified Risk Managers International.
After successful completion of all five courses covering all major areas of the risk management field, and five comprehensive examinations, Brown will be awarded the CRM designation by the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, the nation's foremost provider of professional insurance & risk management education.
Charlie Brown, a 19 year veteran of the industry, has been a CIC since 1992. Brown believes insurance consumers are best served by those who aquire and maintain a high level of professional excellence by meeting and exceeding continuing education requirements.
In addition to earning his Certified Insurance Counselor designation he has also earned the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow designation.
Brown is a past president of the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents and past committee member and Natural Disaster Representative for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America's Government Affairs Committee.
He has been recognized by the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents for his contributions to the insurance industry as the Young Agent of the Year in 1998, the Insurance Person of the Year in 1999 and the E. Ellwood Willard Outstanding Service Award in 2003.
