Born May 31, 1921, in Caruthersville, Mo., son of the late Everett and Ellen Gertrude George Taylor, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII. He was a employed at John Deere in Caruthersville.
Survivors include one son, Harold Grubbs and wife, Doris, of Kennett; his companion, Minnie Burnett, of the home; one brother, Charles Taylor, of Caruthersville; one sister, Marie Collins, of Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Michelle Smith, of Kennett, Robert Trosper, of Piggott, Ark., and Jennifer Grubbs, of St. Louis, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Erica, Brittany and Courtney Smith, all of Kennett and one great-great-grandchild, Staysha Robertson, of Kennett.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Clyde Taylor and two sisters, Juanita Ford and Magdalene Grubbs.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville with the Rev. Hubert Robinson officiating.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
