Martha Ward, 96, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, at Beverly Nursing and Rehab in Malden.
Born April 13, 1909, at August, Ark. the daughter of the late Herschel and Maria Lincoln Harris, she was a member of Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Malden.
On March 5, 1927, at Parma, Mo., she married Tome Ward who preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Stella Smith and husband, Kent, of Malden and Louvine Sanders of Chicago, Ill; two sons Otis McKelly and wife, Christine, of Killian, Texas and Roy Young and wife, Annie Marie, of Kokomo, Ind.; 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son Joe Louis Ward; two daughter, Cercie Lee Garner and Loris Lettea Ward; two brothers, Henry Harris and Frank Harris; two sisters, Mary Randolph and Lezzie Gist.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church until time of services at 2 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Gene Perkins officiating.
Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery at Malden.
