Beatrice Dillender, 96, of Steele, Mo., died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, at her residence.
Born Sept. 22, 1909, in Booneville, Miss., daughter of the late Thomas and Dolly Kemp Neeley, she was a homemaker and a member of the Wesley United Memorial Methodist Church in Steele.
On April 15, 1951, in Osceola, Ark., she married Garrett Dillender, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three infant sons; four brothers, Luther, Lonnie, Dutch and Sammy Neeley; one sister, Fannie Mae Jackson and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Edith Griggs and husband, Mike, of Steele and Ida Mae Sanders and husband, Bill, of Selmer, Tenn.; one son, Howard Leon Tomlin and wife, Jane, of Woodriver, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at the Powell Funeral Home in Steele with the Revs. Mike Hargraves and Glyn Davis officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
Pallbearers were Jerry Green, Scott and John Spence, Gary Ward, Terry Evans and Josh Callis.
