Wanda Keown

Wanda Mae Keown, 87, of Gideon, Mo., died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

born July 27, 1918, in Henderson, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Cornelious and Lorene Ferguson Riley.

On Oct. 13, 1934, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Johnnie Keown, who preceded her in death in Feb. 1985. She was also preceded in death by one son, Bobby Joe Keown; six brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Johnnie Mae West, of Rector, Ark.; three sons, George Keown and wife, Mary, of Gideon, Jerry Keown and wife, Shelby, of Wright City, Mo., and Larry Keown and wife, Shirley, of Farmington, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Gideon, with the Rev. Earnest Puckett officiating.

Burial was in the Wardell Memorial Cemetery at Wardell, Mo.
