Bill Woods Jr., 61, of Shiloh, Ill., died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, of cancer, at his residence.

Born May 14, 1944, at New Madrid, Mo., a son of Bill and Ruby Woods of Caruthersville, he attended Caruthersville High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated Bill & Billie's Express Inc.

On June 8, 1961, he married Billie Jean Stricklin who survives.

Other survivors include two sisters, Sabra Leonberger and husband, Tim, and Jessica Albrecht and husband, Eric, all of Shiloh, Ill.; one son, Bill Woods and fiancée Jeannie, of Troy, Ill; one sister, Sandee Wigginton and husband, Lee, of Caruthersville; and eight grandchildren, Amanda, Rebecca, William, Nicholas, Noah, Alexis, Hunter and Abibgail.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James Cheatham.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. today, Sunday, Oct. 16, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at George Renner & Sons Chapel with Msgr. James Margason officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
