Thomas Meacham

Thomas Richard Meacham, 72, of Manila, Ark., died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born at Cave City, Ark., son of the late Charles and Rossie Belle Rodgers Meacham, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was a carpenter and a member of the First Baptist Church in Manila.

Survivirs include his wife, Beatrice Tyler Meacham, of Manila; one son, Danny Alexander, of Brookland, Ark.; two daughters, Patsy Douglas and Linda Alexander, both of Manila; four sisters, Lawana Miles, of Las, Vegas, Nev., Rhodell Bunch, of Manila, Laura Hutton, of Kennett and Patsy Ann Fyles, of Batesville, Ark., three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Walker; four brothers, Mark, Bud, Robert and Bill Meacham and two sisters, Maudine Vermillion and Charlesteen Crabtree.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Howard Funeral Home in Manila.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at the Howard Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Dill officiating.

Burial will follow at the Manila Cemetery.
