Nita Carol Jones, 55, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.

Born Oct. 3, 1950, in Caruthersville, daughter of Anita Malone and the late Paul Malone, she was a graduate of Caruthersville High School and was employed as a sales associate for Wal-Mart. She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersville.

On Jan. 24, 1966, in Caruthersville, she married Clyde Alfred Jones, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include her mother, Anita Malone, of Caruthersville; two brothers, Randy Malone, of Caruthersville and Mike Malone and wife, Marilyn, of Dyersburg, Tenn.; one half-brother, Danny Malone, of Carpentersville, Ill.; one half-sister, Patricia Wilson, of Hazelwood, Mo.; mother-in-law, Mary W. Jones, of Caruthersville; three brothers-in-law, Charlie, Marty and Ronnie Jones, all of Caruthersville and a sister-in-law, Lillian Brown, of Olive Branch, Miss.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.

Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Randy Malone, Scott Malone, Paul Malone, Charlie Jones, Marty Jones and Ronnie Jones.
