Jimmy Ladon Mitchell, 60, of Hayti, Mo., died Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti.

Born Feb. 23, 1945, in Dyersburg, Tenn., son of the late John Wesley and Lovie Lavern McCollum Mitchell, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a musician.

Survivors include one brother, John W. Mitchell Jr., and wife, Shirley, of Humboldt, Tenn., and one sister, Peggy Riley, of Caruthersville.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Dr. Mike Melton officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were Lewis Mitchell, Jason Mitchell, Brandon Moore, Matthew Moore and Tyler Thomas.
