Lela Grace Phillips, 95, of Gamma, Mo., died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Mo.
Born April 23, 1910, in Perryville, Mo., a daughter of the late Edgar Rufus and Dora Wilfong Nugent, she was a member of the Brush Creek Presbyterian Church.
On Aug. 2, 1956, in St. Louis County, Mo., she married Cecil White Phillips who preceded her in death June 15, 1973. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ann King and two brothers, Glen Olin Nugent and Henry David Nugent.
Survivors include four sister, Maxine Hester Middleton of New Florence, Mo., Gladys Melva Palmer of Rector, Ark., Wanda Lee Parrish of Troy, Mo., and Wilma Jean Smith of Kennett.
Graveside services were 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at the Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery, Mo., with the Rev. David Wood officiating.
