Charles A. "Doc" Ethridge, 73, of Hornersville, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at his residence.
Born Jan. 26, 1932, in Center Ridge, Ark., son of the late Orville Ethridge and Polly Melinda Mae Williams, he was employed at Emerson Electric. He was a member of the Hornersville Baptist Church and was retired from the Hornersville Fire Department.
On March 8, 1954, in Kennett, he married Dessie Pate, who preceded him in death on Nov. 7, 2003. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Willie and G.W. and one sister, Mildred.
Survivors include one son, Steve Ethridge, of Hornersville; one daughter, Debra Whitlock, of Senath, Mo.; two brothers, Jack and Bud Ethridge, both of Grand Haven, Mich.; three sisters, Faye Buck, of Cardwell, Mo., Betty Cude, of O'Fallen, Mo., and Mary Lou Hamlett, of O'Fallen, Ill.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Bradshaw-Emerson Funeral Home in Hornersville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at the Hornersville Baptist Church with the Rev. Freddie Bowen officiating.
Burial will follow at the Horner Cemetery in Hornersville.
