Roosevelt Jim Robinson, 105, of Piedmont, Mo., formerly of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005, at Clarks Mountain Nursing Center in Piedmont.
Born March 15, 1900, in Newport, Ark., he was the son of the late Thomas and Lizzie Robinson.
In 1932, he married Rosie Robinson, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Edgar Robinson and wife, Millie and Odis Robinson and wife, Lois, all of Caruthersville; 12 grandchildren, Lathasha and Antonio Truss, Larnonda and Taniki Robinson, Odis Robinson Jr., Lantanya and Nico Caradine, Lawonda Steward, Laytoya and Elaine Rodgers, Michele Jones and Reaco Lewis; 29 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville with Elder Roosevelt officiating.
Burial was in the Morgan Ridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Toney, Calvin and Boblean Johnson, Dave Williams, Wilbert Daniel and James Truss.
