Opal Lezona Grimes, 90, of Cookeville, Tenn., died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 20, 1914, in Missouri, a daughter of the late James Robert and Ethel McCurter Campbell, she was a retired teacher and member of the Church of Christ.
She married Ethridge Grimes who preceded her in death Aug. 7, 2000. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jack Campbell.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Grimes and wife, Louise, of Baxter, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Deborah Slackta of Grand Blanc, Mich., Tamara Pisarsky of Burton, Mich. and Diana Haugh of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; six great-grandchildren, Kayla Slackta, Jacob Slackta, Marissa Pisarsky, Madison Pisarsky and David Haugh.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Bradshaw Funeral Chapel in Malden, Mo., with the Rev. Charles Pipkins officiating.
Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
