Opal Grimes

Opal Lezona Grimes, 90, of Cookeville, Tenn., died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 20, 1914, in Missouri, daughter of the late James Robert and Ethel McCunter Campbell, she was a teacher and of the Church of Christ faith.

She married Ethridge Grimes, who preceded her n death on Aug. 7, 2000.

Survivors include one son, Bobby Grimes and wife, Louise, of Baxter, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Deborah Slackta, of Grand Blanc, Mich., Tamara Pisangky, of Burton, Mich., and Diana Haugk, of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and six great-grandchildren, Kayla and Jacob Slackta, Marissa and Madison Pisaangky and Brad and David Haugk.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
