Robert Lee Slagle, 84, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at the Mo. Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 26, 1921, in Moberly, Mo., son of the late Arthur Karl and Edna Slagle, he was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Little Brushy Baptist Church in Wappapello, Mo.

On June 18, 1942, in Moberly, he married Raymonette Lawrence, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Stella and one brother, Karl.

Survivors include two daughters, Karla DeMichel and husband, Ira, of Lakeside, Ore., and Sandra Musicant and husband, Ronald, of CoQuille, Ore.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

No services are planned.
