Donald Curtis

Donald Curtis, 68, of Peach Orchard, Ark., died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, at his residence.

Born Aug. 11, 1937, in Knobel, Ark., son of the late Mark Amos and Nettie Opal Kent Curtis, he was a U.S. Navy and Marine veteran. He worked for the West Memphis Evening Times and White Printing.

He married Zola Loral Lindsey, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Mark Curtis and wife, Glenda, of Peach Orchard; two daughters, Cindy Holder and husband, Pat, of Peach Orchard and Suzanne White and husband, Dennis, of Aurora, Ill.; one brother, M.A. Curtis, of Knobel; three sisters, Ruth Brown, of Corning, Ark., Bonnie Stowell, of Chicago, Ill., and Inez Clampit, of Ann Arbor, Mich.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Vic, Max, Elfra and Omer Curtis.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Brownie Cemetery in Peach Orchard, Ark., with the Rev. David Stallings officiating.
