Max Jackson Sr.

Max Jackson Sr., 75, of Kennett, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born March 6, 1930, at Adamsville, Tenn., a son of the late Grady Edward and Maggie Tacker Jackson, he served as a medic in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

On Sept. 18, 1961, he married Doris Cross who survives.

Other survivors include one son, Max Jackson Jr. of Kennett; one daughter, Nancy Kuin of St. Charles, Mo., three brothers, Carlos Jackson and Dub Jackson, both of Senath, Mo, and Ralph Jackson of Sikeston, Mo., one sister, Barbara Roark of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and six grandchildren, Brandy and Taylor Kuin, Holly Jackson, Matt Dement, Jeffrey and Candace Hayes.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Neal Jackson and one sister, Mae Nell Cates.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial was in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Neil Jackson, Jim Bidewell, Rob Reid, Jamie Cates, Scotty Jackson, Sonny Jackson and Danny Cross.
