Audra Sturgeon

Audra Louise Sturgeon, 88, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at National Health Care in Kennett.

Born Jan. 27, 1917, in Senath, Mo., daughter of the late Robert Joseph and Ada Gorman Greer, she was retired from Ely-Walker Shirt Factory and a member of the Everett Street Baptist Church.

She married Albert "Al" Sturgeon, who preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1968. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lloyd "Cobb", Floyd and John Greer and two sisters, Lyndell Oakes and Nadine Taylor.

Survivors include one step-son, Jerry Sturgeon, of Malden, Mo.; one step-daughter, Judy Hays, of Arlington, Tenn.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Bob Holder, Danny Rhew, Ray Crawford, Glen Harris, Forrest Busch and Lee Reed.
