Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, Missouri recently announced Employees of the Quarter for the quarter ending June. The award is presented to an employee, nurse and manager. Nominations for the award are received from peers and chosen by the administrative team. Recipients of the award receive an engraved plaque and a check for $250.

Marty Hill was named the Employee of the Quarter. She has worked at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center since August 1999 as a technician in the emergency department. Her co-workers describe her as being efficient, cheerful, dependable and indispensable to the department. Marty also is very resourceful, and has developed the nickname Radar from M*A*S*H. Her warm smile and friendly words encourage employees, reassure patients and welcome visitors.

The Nurse of the Quarter, Teresa Ward, has worked in the obstetrics department at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center for the past six years as a registered nurse. Her supervisor describes her as a team player that is always willing to work extra to help out. She has excellent nursing skills but is always eager to learn new things, because she understands that medicine is always changing. She is currently taking classes toward her bachelor of science in nursing. Teresa's favorite part of her job is handing a newborn to a new mother and father.
