Evelyn Maude Dunning Hicks, 98, of Hillsboro, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, at the Crystal Oaks Skilled Nursing Center in Crystal City, Mo.
Born July 18, 1907, in Blytheville, Ark., daughter of the late Edwin V. Dunning and Winifred Moody Dunning, she was a member of the Third Street Baptist Church.
On Aug. 25, 1933, she married Truman E. Hicks, who preceded her in death on May 1, 1972. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, John S., Elmer Clifford and Eugene Victor Dunning.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Hicks Garrison, of Drew, Miss., and Judith Hicks Raspberry, of Hillsboro; one sister, Marie Dunning Shaw, of Valdosta, Ga.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Bud Evans officiating.
Pallbearers are James Raspberry Jr., Brent Garrison, Mark Raspberry, Matt Taetz, Matthew Raspberry and John Brent Garrison.
