Kristin Nicole and Danny Warren Smith of Cardwell, Mo., announce the birth of their daughter, Brooklyn Danielle Smith, born Aug. 20, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center's Family BirthPlace in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She weighed 7 pounds and 11 ounces and was 20 inches long.

She is the granddaughter of David and Cheryl Byrd of Wardell, Mo., the late Alfred Smith of Thayer, Mo., and the late Mavis Ridge of Arbyrd, Mo.
