Alicia Lee Godbey, 62, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Risco, Mo., died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at her residence.
Born Dec. 7, 1942, in Malden, Mo., daughter of the late James Aldon and Anna Lee Williams Hamlett, she was a member of the Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
On March 27, 1970, in Portageville, Mo., she married Melvin Larry Godbey, who preceded her in death on June 13, 2002.
Survivors include four sons, Jim Godbey and wife, Judy, of Parma, Mo., Jon Godbey and wife, Susan, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Rodney Godbey and wife, Stephanie, of Cape Girardeau and Lawrence Godbey and wife, Carrie, of Louisville, Ky.; one brother, Rev. James Hamlett and wife, Barbara, of St. Ann, Mo., and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 26, at the First Baptist Church in Risco.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 26, at the First Baptist Church in Risco with the Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden is in charge of arrangements.
Other services are: Visitation from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., in Kentland, Ind., with funeral services being held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at the First Baptist Church in Kentland. Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Kentland. Stitz Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
