Ruth Beatrice Hines, 92, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Dec. 26, 1912, in Kennett, daughter of the late Charles and Beatrice Horton Green, she was a member of the Slicer Street Church of Christ.
On June 7, 1930, she married John Hines, who preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1996. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Jean Hines; one brother, Charles Green and three sisters, Nell Grogan, Gertrude Huskey and Vivian Adams.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Hines, of Collinsville, Ill.; two daughters, Jerris Campbell, of Liberty, Tenn., and Donna Keene, of Kennett; three sisters, Nadine Reeves, of Houston, Texas, Jean Reedy, of St. Louis, Mo., and Carrol Folkes, of Kennett; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at the Slicer Street Church of Christ in Kennett with James Powell and Spencer Furby officiating.
Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
Pallbearers are Randy Biggs, Mike Campbell, Jonathan Hines, Bill Grogan, Bill Biggs, Jake McKuin.
Honorary pallbearers are Joey Clark, Eric Folkes, Chad Howard and the Dorcas Group.
Memorials may be made in memory of Ruth Hines to the Slicer Street Church of Christ or Semo Little Theater Group.
