Bobby Jackson

Bobby Gene Jackson, 70, of Clarkton, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born Feb. 2, 1935, in Malden, Mo., son of Jean Odell Stevens Jackson Anderson and the late William Henry Jackson, he was a U.S. Marine veteran.

On Jan. 13, 1989, he married Helen Pemberton Blevins, who survives.

Survivors also include six children, Bobby Gene Jr., Steve, Linda, Brenda, Mary and Dena; two step-sons, Joe Golladay, of Malden and Robert Blevins, of Clarkton; two step-daughters, Gina Barton, of Odessa, Texas and Penny McCormick, of Piggott, Ark.; his mother, Jean Anderson, of Clarkton; one brother, Tom Jackson, of Clarkton; 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services with military rites were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the Park Cemetery in Malden with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
