A. F. Schult, 76, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Monday, August 8, 2005, at his residence.

Born July 9, 1929, at Caruthersville, he was a son of the late Louis Houck and Helen Angeline Jacobs Schult. He attended Caruthersville schools and graduate from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He served in the U.S. Air Force and farmed prior to retirement. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

Survivors include three nephews, John Raiter and Bob Raiter of St. Paul, Minn. and Frank Raiter of Virginia; two nieces, Karen Schult McBrayer of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Mary Ann Smith of Wake Forest, N.C. and a cousin, Jane Medlin of Caruthersville.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Thursday, August 11, at the Sacred Heart Church in Caruthersville with Father Scott Sonnenburg officiating.

Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Stoney Cook, Henry Berry, Pat S. Slentz, Don Parsley, Nick Parsley and Alan Carlton.

H.S. Smith Funral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of services.

The family suggest memorials be made to the Caruthersville Public Library.
