Mildred M. Moore, 81, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Saturday, Sept. 1, 1923, in Kennett, Mo., the daughter of Frank and Anna Howlett Gamblin. She and Thomas Howard Moore, Jr., were married on October 27, 1945 in Kennett. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2000.

She was employed by Memorial Hospital in Kennett as a nurses aid. She had also worked as a beautician. She was of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include one daughter, Winifred Golightly, of Cape Girardeau; one son, Dennis Wayne Moore, of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Alceba Benson, of Clarkton, Mo., and Louise Stanfield, of Bonne Terre, Mo.; four grandchildren, Roxanne Kasten, of Jackson, Mo., Jamey Turner, of De Soto, Ill., Brock Turner, of Cape Girardeau and Michael Moore, of Arizona; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and one brother, Lawrence Gamblin.

Friends may call at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Services will be held at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating.

Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
